Homicide investigation underway after man’s body found in car in KC
Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found inside a vehicle early Friday as a homicide.
Police found the body about 4:30 a.m. in the 6900 block of Bellefontaine Avenue after someone called saying they had noticed the car parked there with its engine running for several hours.
After an ambulance responded to the scene, emergency workers determined the man was deceased.
Police Chief Darryl Forté said via Twitter that crime scene investigators and detectives were looking for evidence and canvassing the area for information.
The identity of the victim was not being released pending notification of relatives.
