2-year-old boy drowns in pool near Grain Valley
Jackson County authorities are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy whose body was found floating in a pool at a residence near Grain Valley.
The child was identified as Zeb’Ulen Klaus. His mother told Jackson County sheriff’s deputies that she lost sight of the child during a gathering at the residence in the 10100 block of Perdue Road. She said the child was found floating in an above-ground pool behind the residence.
The boy was taken to a hospital, where efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. An autopsy has been scheduled and the incident remains under investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.
