A hard freeze is expected for Kansas City Friday night
Cold air has spread across the region Friday, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a freeze warning.
Highs are expected to reach into the middle 40s with temperatures tumbling below freezing by 10 p.m. Friday.
For those out trick-or-treating, the weather will be dry but cold. Temperatures are expected to reach the 40s around 5 p.m. and drop into the low 30s by 9 p.m.
By sunrise Saturday, lows are expected to fall into the upper 20s, bringing the first freeze to the area and effectively ending the growing season.
Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing through 9 a.m. Saturday. Highs are expected to reach the middle 40s.
Highs are expected to reach into the middle 50s on Sunday. There’s a chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms Sunday night through Tuesday.
