Victim rushed to hospital after shooting on Kansas City’s east side

Police are investigating a shooting that injured one person early Tuesday.

Police received calls reporting the shooting about 6 a.m. in the 8700 block of East 52nd Street on Kansas City’s east side.

Arriving officers found the victim with minor injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, according to police.

No suspect information was immediately available.
