Kansas City checkpoint yields 27 DUI arrests

A sobriety checkpoint in Kansas City snagged 27 DUI arrests late Friday and early Saturday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A total of 883 cars were stopped at the checkpoint, which was a joint effort with Kansas City police, near U.S. 169 and NW Harlem Road.

Other arrests include two for driving with revoked licenses and one for hazardous driving. There was one misdemeanor drug arrest.
