Rain, thunderstorms expected late Sunday

Rain and thunderstorms are expected to hit Kansas City late Sunday into Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill.

Most areas are expected to receive about one-quarter inch of rainfall.

Warmer weather is predicted for the rest of the weekend, with highs in the low to upper 70s and lows in the upper 50s Friday and Saturday.
