Overland Park woman accused in child sex case

A 21-year-old Overland Park woman has been charged with having sexual contact with a minor.

Julissa Estrada appeared Wednesday in Johnson County District Court where she faces two felony crimes involving a child under the age of 14. The alleged crimes occurred last year when Estrada was 20, according to court documents.

Estrada’s attorney, Carl Cornwell, said Wednesday he hoped to resolve the case without a need for the victim to testify.

A judge set her bond at $100,000 and she was being held Wednesday night in the Johnson County Jail.
