Police ID man stabbed to death during fight over a woman

Police on Monday identified 38-year-old William Nelson of Kansas City as the man who was fatally stabbed during a fight over a woman.

Police received a call reporting a disturbance about 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 8400 block of East 55th Street.

When officers arrived, they found Nelson inside the house dead from an apparent stab wound.

Police arrested a a 35-year-old man who Nelson was fighting with when he was stabbed.
