125th birthday bash for Thomas Hart Benton slated Friday at Kelly’s

An annual birthday bash in honor of Thomas Hart Benton on Friday will celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Missouri painter’s birth.

A free open house from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Benton home and studio, 3616 Belleview Ave., will include two rarely seen original artworks by Benton.

That will be followed by a party from 6 to 8 p.m. in the back room at Kelly’s Westport Inn, 500 Westport Road.
