Lakeside Speedway to resume Friday racing

Weather permitting, Lakeside Speedway will resume its regular schedule on Friday night.

Last week’s season opening races were postponed to Sunday afternoon when Kelly Shryock took the early lead and won the 25-lap USRA A-Modified feature.

Jake Richards held off veteran Gene Claxton, for the win in the USRA B-Modified feature. Justin Seifert, the 2012 champion, won the USRA Stock Car division 15-lap feature after getting past his brother-in-law and 2013 champion Brett Heeter.

Tim Shields led all 15 laps of the Grand National feature.
