Four from Missouri and Kansas face identity fraud charges

Four men were arrested Friday after being indicted for allegedly conspiring to create counterfeit identification documents for illegal immigrants.

Federal prosecutors identified the suspects as Eriberto Medina-Aranda, 39, of Rayville, Mo., his half-brother, Cesar Mujica-Aranda, 24, of Liberty, Bernardino Bautista-Hernandez, 31, of Kansas City, and Ulises Montiel-Lazcano, 34, of Merriam.

All four are Mexican citizens, and Medina-Aranda is allegedly in the country illegally, prosecutors said. He is charged with illegally possessing a firearm and illegally reentering the United States after being deported.

Investigators seized equipment including computers, printers and cameras that were allegedly used to create false documents that could be used for immigrants to reside and work in the United States.
