Kansas woman, 83, dies after being struck by motorcycle

An 83-year-old woman died early Monday after being hit by a motorcycle in Overland Park while she was attempting to cross in the middle of a street.

The driver of the motorcycle was traveling westbound on 119th Street when he struck the woman just east of Glenwood about 10:50 p.m. Sunday.

The woman was transported to a nearby hospital, where she died early Monday. The motorcycle driver received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
