Sam Lacey memorial services scheduled for Thursday

Memorial tributes for former NBA standout Sam Lacey, who died last week in Kansas City, will take place on Thursday.

A public viewing and visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at Watkins Heritage Chapel at 4000 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd.

A memorial tribute service will be held from 6-8 p.m. at The Loretto at 1111 W. 39th Street.

On March 29, a funeral and graveside service will be conducted in Indianola, Miss., at Byas Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens in Indianola.

Lacey played 11 of his 13 NBA seasons with the Kings organization.
