KC thrift store robbed

Two armed men held up a Kansas City thrift store Monday morning.

The robbery was reported about 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Red Racks thrift store at 8026 Wornall Road.

Police said no one was injured. They reported that one of the robbers attempted to fire a shot from a semi-automatic handgun, but the weapon misfired and the bullet fell out on the floor.

Both suspects covered their faces with masks and escaped by running out the rear door of the business.
