Serious injuries reported in KC shooting

A Kansas City teenager underwent surgery Saturday night after being shot about 5 p.m. in the 4200 block of Virginia Avenue.

The boy’s injuries were classified as potentially life-threatening by police when he was taken to a hospital. Later Saturday night, police said they were told he was in stable condition.
