Update: Missing Weatherby Lake woman found safe in Platte City

Police have canceled a Silver Alert for a missing Weatherby Lake woman after she was found safe Tuesday morning in Platte City.

An Endangered Silver Advisory Alert was issued for Anna L. Gibson, 86, who might have Alzheimer’s disease, after she disappeared following a doctor’s appointment.

Prior to being found, Gibson was last seen about noon Monday as she left the doctor’s office near Northwest 72nd Street and Northwest Prairie View Road in Kansas City, North.

Police said she might be disoriented or confused.
