Gina Kaufmann returning to KCUR-FM to host ‘Central Standard’
Gina Kaufmann will return to the 10 a.m. hour she once co-hosted with Walt Bodine on KCUR-FM.
Kaufmann will take the helm of “Central Standard,” the program that replaced Bodine’s long-running show on the public station at 89.3 FM, the station announced Friday. Kaufmann worked alongside Bodine from 2008 to 2010.
The legendary broadcaster died a year ago this month at age 92.
KCUR said a rebooted “Central Standard” will blend elements of the current “Central Standard” and former show “KC Currents.”
Kaufmann makes her debut the week of March 31, but the new format will not be unveiled until late spring or early summer.
“Central Standard” was originally hosted by Jabulani Leffall, who quit in January 2013.
