Missouri more fun for world records than Kansas, blog finds
When it comes to world records, Missouri would appear to be more fun to live in than Kansas.
The blog for Estately, a national real estate search site, reviewed hundreds of Guinness World Records and mapped them to states in which the records were set.
The blog found seven world records for Missouri — Longest Pub Crawl, Largest Can Pyramid, Longest Snake in Captivity, Smallest Living Horse, Largest Game of “Duck, Duck, Goose,” Longest Scarf Knitted While Running a Marathon and Most Dogs in Costumed Attire.
Four of those records were set in Kansas City, and the list doesn’t even include the recent record of Loudest Crowd Roar at a Sports Stadium set in September at Arrowhead Stadium.
Meanwhile, the blog found Kansas’ claims to fame to be the Largest Stitched Teddy Bear and Largest Tonsils.
Estately compiled the list and mapped it as an ongoing series of tiebreakers to help potential homebuyers decide where to live.
To see a list of records that occurred in each state, see Estately’s blog.
