Intruder points gun at baby’s head inside south KC apartment
A man broke into a woman’s apartment early Friday and pointed a gun at her baby’s head during a robbery, police said.
The 19-year-old victim told police she awakened about 2:35 a.m. in the 14500 block of South U.S. 71 when she heard someone in the living room. A man then appeared in her bedroom with a silver revolver demanding money. She said she didn’t have any, and the man pointed his gun at her 2-month-old baby’s head.
She pleaded with him to leave. He rifled through her dresser drawers before running out the front door. She didn’t known if he stole anything.
Police believe the intruder broke a living room window to get inside.
