Bomb threat prompts search of plane at KCI

An official says an American Airlines flight from Chicago's O'Hare Airport was taken to a remote area at Kansas City International Airport and searched after it landed because of a bomb threat.

The passengers and crew disembarked in a remote area of the airport and FBI agents searched the plane.

It was not clear if anything was found or if anyone was arrested.

Airport and airline officials didn't immediately respond to phone requests for comment Friday.
