KC police identify Tuesday homicide victim as Olathe man
Kansas City police on Wednesday identified a man shot to death Tuesday in a secluded parking lot in an industrial area as Kristopher A. Washington, 24, of Olathe.
Police were called to the scene in the 8200 block of East 23rd Trafficway about 5 p.m., where they found Washington slumped in the driver’s seat. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooter is believed to have fled in a maroon sport-utility-vehicle that apparently sustained a broken window in a possible shoot-out. Police said Washington apparently met someone in the parking lot, but they did not know why.
Washington used aliases of Kristofor and Christopher Washington, police said.
Last month, Johnson County authorities moved to revoke Washington’s probation in connection with a 2013 domestic battery conviction. His previous convictions include aiding a felon in a murder case. He was wounded in a Kansas City shooting in 2011.
