On the way: Night of the Proms, featuring Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins and others
Night of the Proms, a concert series that has helped vault into fame performers like Andrea Bocelli, is coming to the Sprint Center on June 21.
This version of the show features Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, the Pointer Sisters and Nile Rodgers Chic.
They will perform their hits with support from Il Novecento, a classical orchestra from Belgium, a 24-person choir and an eight-piece rock band.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 14. Prices: $90, $125 and $175, which includes access to a meet-and-greet.
This will be the U.S. debut of Night of the Proms, which was launched in Europe in 1985.
Kansas City’s public television station, KCPT (Channel 19) has posted footage of performances from previous Night of Proms, including McDonald, the Pointer Sisters, Nile Rodgers Chic, Seal, James Blunt and the late Donna Summer.
