Ferrelview man pleads guilty as part of child porn ring

A Ferrelview man pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to four counts of producing or attempting to produce child pornography as part of what prosecutors called a nationwide porn ring.

Raymond M. Appling, 31, will be sentenced for 40 years in prison under a plea agreement.

Appling admitted he took photos and video of four underage girls. He was in communication with other defendants in Colorado, California and Pennsylvania. Appling took one of the victims to San Diego.
