KC police investigate homicide in vehicle on the East Side

Kansas City police are investigating a homicide in the parking lot of a business in the 8200 block of East 23rd Street.

Police were called to assist an ambulance call about 5 p.m. The victim, described as a black male in his mid-20s, was discovered inside a vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses told police they heard shots and saw a maroon-colored SUV speed away. One window of the vehicle may be shot out.
