Contestants take aim at ‘Bachelor’ Juan Pablo in ‘Women Tell All’ special
On a typical season of “The Bachelor,” the “Women Tell All” special is reserved for cat fights. This time, the women had their claws out for Juan Pablo.
Instead of bashing each other, the women called out the bachelor for not taking the time to get to know them or taking the process seriously.
"I think that he was definitely here to find somebody, I think his version of what he was trying to find was different than ours,” Andi, who left last week after a not-so-fantasy suite date, said.
“All he talks about is being fair, and then he goes and changes every rule he makes,” Kat said.
When host Chris Harrison brought up Juan Pablo’s infamous ocean swim with Clare, the women even came to Clare’s defense.
"I think he used his daughter as an excuse,” Kelly, the “dog lover,” said. “He didn't say Camilla when he was in the ocean.”
Oh. Snap.
Sharleen, always the voice of reason, agreed the Juan Pablo didn’t handle the situation properly.
"I think he had a case of buyer's remorse. I just think he didn’t man up the way he should have in that situation,” she said. “If she wanted to do that and he took her up on it, then more power to her.”
Sharleen then took the hot seat to explain why she decided to leave the show.
“I said goodbye because I knew that he wasn’t the one for me ultimately,”she said. “We didnt get each other completely.”
Next up on the hot seat was single mom Renee, who was sent packing before the overnight date.
“I learned a lot. Dating as a single mom, it's hard. It actually gave me a lot of confidence in the dating world,” she said. “I am in a situation now where I'm very happy.”
And finally, Andi took the seat to talk about that disastrous overnight date that led to her saying adios to Juan “it’s OK” Pablo.
"We definitely had some fun times and laughed,” she said about the date. “And then everything was about his soccer and his traveling and who he knew.”
Later, when Juan Pablo faced the women, Andi brought her prosecuting skills to the forefront.
“The conversations didn't show that you were looking for a wife,” Andi told Juan Pablo, who played defense.
“At the end of the day, I took this very seriously,” he said. “It is what it is.”
Kelly also addressed Juan Pablo’s controversial remarks about the possibility of a gay bachelor.
“I heard an interview where you made a comment about gays being more pervert. Coming from a parent who is gay, I was hurt by that,” she said.
“That situation was taken out of context,” Juan Pablo said. “I love gay people. I have no problem with them, I respect them.”
As for next week’s finale, it looks like problems abound with both Kansas City contestant Nikki Ferrell and her opponent Clare in tears.
In Juan Pablo's words, Ay yi yi.
Twitter, as always, had more to say about the women and Juan Pablo:
