KC man guilty in 2012 fatal stabbing, assault

A Jackson County jury on Thursday night found a Kansas City man guilty of second-degree murder.

Jurors also declared Henry Ramirez guilty of two counts of first-degree assault and three counts of armed criminal action.

Thomas C. Willis died in the April 2012 stabbing incident in the 8500 block of Wayne Ave. Two other men suffered multiple stab wounds.

Officers arrested Ramirez after he returned to the scene several hours after the attack with cuts on his hands and what appeared to be blood stains on his hands and clothes, according to court documents.
