Snow is likely today and through the weekend as a cold front moves in

Snow is likely headed our way, with a slight chance predicted after 5 p.m. today and a 60 percent chance during the day Friday.

According to the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill, a 50 percent chance of snow is predicted for Saturday night with a low around 9.

Two winter storm systems could produce 1 to 3 inches of snow, the first beginning Friday morning and the second Saturday night into Sunday.

A cold front is also expected to move into the area Wednesday night, resulting in highs in the upper teens leading into the weekend.
