Eight arrested for DUI at Kansas City checkpoint
Eight people were arrested for allegedly driving under the influence over the weekend at a sobriety checkpoint in Kansas City.
Officers also found one person driving on a suspended or revoked license and recorded one other traffic violation.
Kansas City police worked with Jackson County Sheriff Deputies to stop a total of 245 cars at the checkpoint at 13th and Pennsylvania Streets. The checkpoint started at 11 p.m. Saturday and ended at 4 a.m. Sunday.
