KC suspends liquor, tobacco licenses

The Smuggler’s Inn, a restaurant and bar at 1650 Universal Plaza Drive, has agreed to a three-day suspension of its liquor license after it allowed minors to enter the premises during prohibited hours, according to Kansas City’s Regulated Industries Division.

The suspension begins Feb. 25 at 6 a.m. and end Feb. 28 at midnight. During that time, the business will be closed.

In addition, Royal Liquors, 801 Southwest Blvd., has agreed to a 10-day suspension of the store’s tobacco license for selling tobacco products to minors. The store cannot sell tobacco products from Feb. 23 at 9 a.m. to March 5 at 9 a.m.
