Gunfire hits school bus in Kansas City; no one hurt
A Kansas City school bus driver heard gunfire Wednesday before something hit a rear window.
One student, a 14-year-old boy, was on the bus at the time but neither he nor the driver was hurt.
The bus was traveling west on 67th approaching Chestnut Avenue about 6:10 p.m. when the driver heard three to four gunshots. She then let her final student off the bus at the intersection.
She inspected the bus for damage, saw a rear passenger window had been broken and called police. Officers inspected the window, noted minor damage and said the gun was probably a very small caliber weapon or a high-powered air rifle.
