Fire damages Northland apartment building
Kansas City firefighters controlled a two-alarm apartment complex fire near the Zona Rosa shopping district early Monday afternoon.
Firefighters responded about 1:30 p.m. to a three-story apartment building in the 8800 block of North Congress Avenue. They reported the blaze under control at about 2 p.m. and were looking for hot spots in the attic. No injuries were reported.
At least three apartment units were involved in the fire, said Kansas City Fire Department spokesman James Garrett. The cause remains under investigation.
