Blues, Stars to play NHL preseason game at the Sprint Center
After a two-year absence, the National Hockey League will make an appearance at the Sprint Center in September.
The St. Louis Blues will play the Dallas Stars in a preseason game at 7 p.m. on Sept. 27.
The last NHL preseason game at the Sprint Center was in 2011, when an announced crowd of 17,779 watched the Los Angeles Kings play the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The game between Colorado and the New York Rangers scheduled for 2012 was canceled because of a lockout, and there was no game scheduled for 2013.
Tickets for the Blues-Stars game will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through
, the Sprint Center box office or by phone at 888-929-7849. Ticket prices are $18, $28, $43, $68, $113 and $153.

. The password is ICE, and there is a limit of eight tickets per order.
The Blues reached the break for the Winter Olympics tied for the lead in the NHL’s Central Division of the Western Conference with a 39-12-6 record and are tied for the second-best overall record in the league. Dallas is 27-21-10 and fifth in the Central.
“This a good regional draw,” said Paul McGannon, president of NHL21, the local group supporting efforts to bring an NHL team to Kansas City.
