Kansas City to host online budget discussion Wednesday
People will have the chance to ask questions and share ideas about Kansas City’s 2014-2015 budget during an online discussion Wednesday.
Mayor Sly James, city manager Troy Schulte, department directors and budget staff will host the budget chat from 3 to 4 p.m., according a release from the city.

For those who prefer a more traditional approach, there will be three public budget hearings:
• 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Kansas City Police Academy’s auditorium, 6885 N.E. Pleasant Valley Road in Kansas City North.
• 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 22 at the Robert J. Mohart Multipurpose FOCUS Center’s auditorium, 3200 Wayne Ave. in Kansas City.
• 10 a.m. to noon March 1 at the Kansas City Police Department’s South Patrol Division, 9701 Marion Park Drive in Kansas City. Use the main entrance.
