Autopsy delayed in KCK frozen body case
An autopsy to determine what killed a person found dead Sunday inside a freezer in Kansas City, Kan., has been delayed at least until Wednesday.
The body was discovered about 2 p.m. Sunday in a detached garage behind a residence in the 1800 block of New Jersey Avenue. The person, whose identity has not been released, reportedly was found inside a top-loading freezer.
The body must thaw before an autopsy can be performed, authorities said.
The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s major case unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
