Leaking gas line repaired in KCK
A gas leak in Kansas City, Kan., Tuesday afternoon prompted the evacuation of nearby residents.
The leak was reported just before 2 p.m. in the 700 block of Gilmore Avenue, which is just northwest of where Seventh Street intersects Interstate 670.
Fire crews evacuated everyone within 150 feet of the leak as a precaution. The line was reported repaired about 3:30 p.m. and residents were allowed to return to their homes.
