KC nurse Nikki Ferrell chosen in final six on ‘The Bachelor’

commotion in the ocean

with Clare, the hairstylist from Sacramento, Juan Pablo had a lot of splainin’ to do.

Regardless of what went down in that warm ocean water, one thing was clear: Juan Pablo felt it was wrong, and Clare’s feelings were hurt. Lucky for her, she got another one-on-one date to clear the air. But more on that later.

The remaining eight girls packed their bags and left Vietnam for windy New Zealand, where Andi received the first one-on-one date.

Andi and Juan Pablo jumped into a speedboat and hit the river, stopping in a random cove. The two stripped down to their suits and jumped in the cold water, squeezing through tiny crevices to get to a waterfall.

Juan Pablo must have a thing for the water, because the two spent the rest of their time locking lips under the steamy waterfall before heading to dinner.

Dinner included more water, as they sat in front of an erupting geyser.

“Our chemistry is bursting through as well,” Andi said.

Andi’s one-on-one date ends with a rose, which she gladly accepts.

On the group date, Juan Pablo tricks the girls into thinking they’re having a leisurely picnic in the countryside, only to bring them to a downhill course they will be plummeting down in giant inflatable balls, called Ogos.

The girls lose their winter-wear for swimsuits and take turns riding in the Ogos with Juan Pablo and each other.

“Oh my God, this is so much fun,” Nikki said. “We kissed in the Ogo. Twice!”

Not only is it a group date, but it’s also Cassandra’s birthday, and she’s got her eye on one thing: the rose.

Instead of receiving a rose, Cassandra gets a different gift: a break up.

“At this point, my connection with some of the other girls is stronger,” Juan Pablo said. “I didn’t see a future with Cassandra.”

Cassandra gets sent home in the rain, and Sharleen gets the group date rose.

Later, in Clare’s one-on-one date, Juan Pablo explains what his boundaries are and apologizes for his behavior last rose ceremony.

“Did we do anything inappropriate though?” Clare asked.

“That didn’t feel right to me, that’s it,” Juan Pablo said.

The two quickly got over the issue, and Clare received the coveted rose at the end of the date.

“I see a future here,” Juan Pablo said.

At the rose ceremony, Nikki received the first rose and advanced with the remaining five girls. Kat was sent home, and Sharleen’s emotional reaction to Kat’s departure had her second-guessing herself.

“I’m pretty confused right now,” Sharleen said. “Instead of feeling more certain, I’m feeling more doubtful each week. ... I’m going to give it another week. If I absolutely cannot see myself with Juan Pablo, I think it’s best that I leave.”
