Man found dead of traumatic injury in Lawrence home

A man was found dead in a Lawrence home early Sunday morning after suffering what police called a traumatic injury.

The incident, first reported as a stabbing, was discovered at 3:08 a.m. Sunday when police were dispatched to the 1100 block of George Court.

Police crime scene technicians responded to that address, and detectives said they interviewed several people.

The victim's identity will not be released until a coroner's examination is complete, said Lawrence police spokesman Sgt. Trent McKinley.
