Liquor license pulled at Retro nightclub after fatal shooting
Kansas City will not renew the liquor license for the Retro nightclub at 1518 McGee St., forcing it to close indefinitely.
The city’s action, announced Friday, follows a fatal shooting outside the club about 3:25 a.m. Jan. 26. The Regulated Industries Division said the club was hosting an illegal after-hours party at the time. The city said it was one of several ordinance violations at the club.
Another fatal shooting outside Retro occurred in May 2012.
