H&R Block extends Saturday hours after snow-shortened Tuesday

After closing local offices early during this week’s snowstorm, H&R Block said it will keep them open later than usual on Saturday.

All 70 of the tax preparation company’s Kansas City area stores will be open from 8 a. m. until 10 p. m. or possibly later.

“We will be here on Saturday night until the last client is served,” said Gina Wagoner, the company’s director for the region.

Some Block offices normally close as early as 6 p. m. and some remain open until 9 p. m. Offices are scheduling appointments and accepting walk-ins for the extended hours.
