Roeland Park body identified
A person found dead Sunday in Roeland Park has been identified as a woman who had been reported missing from her nearby apartment in December.
Officials said Wednesday they are awaiting autopsy results to determine how 43-year-old Sandra Herron-Burns died.
Her body was discovered Sunday in a wooded area in the 4700 block of Roe Avenue about a quarter-mile south of Interstate 35.
Authorities said that Herron-Burns suffered from mental health issues and had been reported missing several times in the past.
