Guilty plea in killing of KCK rapper Creepyface

One of two people charged in the 2012 killing of a Kansas City, Kan., rap musician has pleaded guilty.

Michael A. McKeehan had been scheduled to go to trial Monday on a charge of first-degree murder in the September 2012 shooting death of Chad Ford, who performed under the name Creepyface.

But on Friday, McKeehan, 27, pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree murder, criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle and two counts of aggravated assault.

Sentencing for McKeehan is scheduled for March 28 in Wyandotte County District Court.

A co-defendant, Daniel Barlett, is scheduled to go to trial March 10.
