Organizers of LGBT conference in KC expect 2,300 to attend
The University of Missouri-Kansas City will host the city’s first Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Ally College Conference this weekend.
The university’s LGBTQIA Programs and Services and its Office of Student Involvement will hold the conference Friday through Sunday at the Kansas City Convention Center. Organizers expect 2,300 to attend.
The conference is being planned by a coalition of UMKC students and supported by local businesses and organizations across the state and the country, organizers said.
