ProPublica founder Paul Steiger to receive KU journalism honor
A top national journalism award at the University of Kansas goes this year to Paul Steiger, an editor involved in 18 Pulitzer-Prize winning stories and a founder of ProPublica, a journalism organization focused on public service reporting.
Steiger will receive the 2014 William Allen White Foundation National Citation at 10:30 a.m. Friday, in the Alderson Auditorium of the Kansas Memorial Union at the University of Kansas. He’ll give an acceptance talk, “Toward a New Golden Age of Journalism.” The ceremony and talk are open to the public.
