Robber’s note to KC store clerk: ‘Emtey the draw’
A man who robbed a QuikTrip in midtown Kansas City on Thursday morning may have been robbed of an education.
“Emtey the draw,” the robber had scrawled on a piece of paper he slid across the counter to the clerk at 4327 Main St. about 6 a.m.
Lower on the paper was evidence of his first attempt at writing his demand: “Emtey the da.”
The man had one hand in his pocket, as if he had a gun. After the clerk gave him a cash drawer, the robber fled.
Police later found the empty drawer and a glove behind the store.
