Move over Clydesdales: Audi Super Bowl commercial unleashes the ‘Doberhuahua’

Move over Budweiser Clydesdales. There’s a new animal ready to take the spotlight during Super Bowl commercials on Sunday.

Say it with us: Doberhuahua.

That what Audi got when it bred a Doberman with a Chihuahua to create one of the funniest Super Bowl commercials we’ve seen so far this year.

What is a Doberhuahua?

Think dog with a really big head on a really tiny body.

Yeah. Creepy.

Audi released the full 60-second spot on YouTube today.

The commercial for the new Audi A3 lineup shows what can go wrong when people compromise by doing stupid things like breeding a Dobie with a Chihuahua.

“I don’t know what to make of it frankly. It’s unsettling,” says the dog-show judge. “It’s disturbing to look at it directly.”

It’s so freaky that even animal welfare activist, Sarah McLachlan, has a hard time showing it love during her cameo appearance.

Genius.

San Francisco-based Venables Bell Partners are the masterminds behind the commercial that shows a couple hunting for the perfect dog.

He wants a big Doberman Pinscher. She wants a cuddly Chihuahua.

Breeding the two together they both get what they want.

Or do they?

The spot will air during the first in-game break after the third-quarter kickoff Sunday.

But don’t wait. Watch it below.

What we wouldn’t give to see the Doberhuahua in the Puppy Bowl.
