Robber with bat breaks victim’s arm in KC attack

A man with an aluminum baseball bat beat and robbed a 40-year-old man who was walking home from a Kansas City convenience store Sunday night, police said

The victim suffered a possible compound fracture to his right arm in the 6:15 p.m. attack near 40th Street and Indiana Avenue. A witness saw the robber walk up to the victim, demand money and hit the victim in the leg with the bat. After the victim collapsed, the robber hit him twice on each arm before reaching into his coat pocket and stealing his wallet.

The victim walked home and called police.
