The two-week Lyric Opera Summer Camp 2010 is underway at the Lyric Theatre, 1029 Central Street. Once again, FYI is compiling a guide to children’s summer day camps and enrichment classes.

If your Kansas City area school district, community agency or youth club is planning special programs for summer 2014, please submit a summary or brochure with day and evening telephone numbers (for verification) and email it to

jdavis@kcstar.com

. Please put “FYI Summer Camp Guide” in the subject line.

List dates, costs, the program’s targeted age group, a website and one phone number for the public to call.

Sports, science and technology, the arts, activities for children with special needs, and parks and recreation are categories included in the guide. Because of space limitations, the roundup will exclude regular day care, vacation Bible schools and remedial classes.
