UMKC falls at Utah Valley State
Things went south in a hurry out west for UMKC on Thursday.
Martez Harrison’s free throw with 14:09 to play in the game had the Kangaroos down just two points, but Utah Valley State used a 20-1 run to seize control and won 66-48. Harrison led UMKC with 15 and Caleb Johnson added 10 for the Roos, 6-12 overall, 3-3 in the Western Athletic Conference.
• Senior Kim Nezianya had 28 points and 15 rebounds as the UMCK women’s team beat Utah Valley State 83-66 at the Swinney Recreation Center. Eilise O’Connor added 24.
