KC woman sentenced in cocaine conspiracy
A Kansas City federal judge sentenced a 41-year-old woman Tuesday to 30 years in prison for her role in a cocaine distribution conspiracy.
A jury found Tamiko Grandison guilty in August of conspiring to distribute cocaine in Jackson County for six years, ending in June 2010. Prosecutors alleged that Grandison’s then-boyfriend, Jiles Johnson, brought hundreds of pounds of cocaine into Kansas City and that Grandison delivered it to area customers.
Johnson transported the cocaine in 30- and 50-gallon drums and stored some of it in the basement of Grandison’s home on Sni-A-Bar Road, court records alleged.
