Fund-raiser planned for family of man who died after Arrowhead Stadium incident

A spring golf tournament is being planned to benefit the family of a Smithville man who died Dec. 1 after an incident in an Arrowhead Stadium parking lot during a Chiefs game.

Kyle Van Winkle, 30, left a wife, Jenni, and son, William, then 7 weeks old. He graduated from Belton High School and William Jewell College. He worked at CommunityAmerica Credit Union.

The Kyle Van Winkle golf classic is set for May 5 at Meadowbrook Golf Country Club in Prairie Village. To learn about registration and sponsorship opportunities, go to
